OUR STORY

Jim Gonzales was raised for the majority of his life in Amarillo, Texas. When he was only 18, he went to live in California and worked with family that ran a plumbing business. While he was there, he developed a passion for the trade and decided to bring that passion back home to Texas in 1983. With that decision, Dependable Plumbing was established. That same year, Jim's favorite slogan of "Try Us, You'll Like Us", was developed by Jim Gonzales and his wife, Teresa.

Throughout the years, their family of two grew. When his boys were old enough to be able to carry a tool pouch, they showed the same interest in plumbing that their father had years before. Jim took great pride in training his sons, Aaron, Seth, and Davin.

Time passed, and the Gonzales family was finally complete when they had a baby girl. Every time there was an addition to the family, it was either a plumber or a receptionist in training. Jim's business had become the American Dream with Jim and his sons taking care of the on-site work while Teresa and their daughter, Danika, managed the office.

Over the years, Amarillo came to realize the attention to detail, dependability, integrity, and quality of the work that Dependable Plumbing was able to offer.

In 2013, the family lost its father and the business lost its founder. However, Jim's passing did not end his vision for the business. To this day, we continue to strive to keep his American Dream alive by serving and giving to our community with Christian values in mind while still providing the same outstanding workmanship Jim did.
